FAQs
Does Argos have sales?
Yes, Argos has different sales each week, often offering discounts on specific categories (like garden or electricals) or savings on specific brands (like LEGO or Silentnight). Not only this, but Argos also has seasonal sales at different times of the year, so make sure you check the website during big events like Black Friday and Boxing Day for some extra special discounts.
Will the Argos Black Friday sale be returning in 2023?
Yes, Argos has confirmed that a Black Friday sale will be on the website again this year! It states that there will be deals during the run-up to Black Friday as well so make sure you check the website regularly over November for deals across home, electricals, gardens and more.
Does Argos price match?
Argos does not price match but on the website, it says that it does use a third party to compare the prices of branded products against competitors daily to ensure the prices remain competitive. In our experience, Argos often offers the best value for money, thanks to plenty of Argos discount codes being made available, but also the brand's regular rotation of sales and promotion deals.
Does Argos do NHS discount?
Argos isn't currently running a discount for NHS staff but that doesn't mean you won't find savings on the website. With regular sales, a newsletter discount offer and promo codes aplenty, you'll easily pick up a bargain or two on the website.
What are Argos' delivery options?
If the items are available with Fast Track delivery you are able to choose a specific time slot based on your location. If you order online prior to 5pm you can even get same day delivery for any urgent last-minute buys. Alternatively, if your item is only available for standard delivery it will be sent out with a courier service between Monday and Saturday. You won’t be able to choose a time slot, but if you order before 8pm you will still be able to receive next day delivery.
How much is Argos delivery?
The price of Argos delivery will vary depending on the size of the item and delivery slot. If you order a small item via fast track before 5pm for same day delivery before 10 pm it will cost £5.95. However, other fast-track delivery slots are available from £3.95. Delivery of large items starts at £8.95 for standard delivery. If you opt for next day delivery with a timeslot for a larger item, Argos will show you the price of each delivery slot but expect prices to start at £24.99.
How do I return items to Argos?
You are able to return an item 30 days from the date you collected it or when it was delivered to you. The quickest and easiest way to return something to Argos is in-store. Any Argos store or desk in Sainsbury's will accept most items apart from large items, even if they have been delivered to your home. However, if you don’t live near an Argos you can return small items via post. Larger items can also be returned but you will need to arrange this via Argos’ live chat.
How do I contact Argos by phone?
If you need to speak to customer service you can contact Argos by phone on 0345 640 2020 from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. You will need your order number to hand if you are calling about a specific order. Alternatively, you can get a quicker response by using Argos’ live chat service which you can find on the ‘contact us’ website page.
Hints and tips
Argos discount codes are a great way to make savings on your next purchase, but there are a few other tricks to help you bag a deal.
Look into offers: Argos regularly has great value offers, these often only last for a short time and range from 20% off to ‘2 toys for £20’. You should be able to quickly see if the product you are considering has an offer. Alternatively, you can keep an eye on the discount and offers page which rounds them all up together so you can plan when the best time to pounce is. Argos highlights all its best offers and sale items on its homepage. You can easily click through to shop all qualifying products. The brand usually has a sale or offers on around 12 key events each year including Black Friday, Back to School and Easter.
Enjoy a newsletter discount: Customers not already signed up for Argos Marketing emails can get a welcome discount code for £5 off first orders over £40. The sign-up is easy to find at the bottom of the homepage. All you need to give is your email address to get the code emailed to you.
Use Nectar Points: Since Argos is now a member of the Sainsbury family, you can collect and spend any Nectar points you’ve built up at Argos. The best way to do this is to link up your Nectar and Argos accounts so you can start spending points and collecting them. You will receive 1 point for every £1 spent, and you can often find Argos running extra points deals. It is free to get a Nectar Card so it's a good idea to get one even if Sainsbury’s isn’t your local supermarket.
Take advantage of eGift Card Rewards: You can claim an eGift Card reward when you buy a qualifying product at Argos. All you need is the details from your receipt to enter the promotion website to receive your eGift Card. For example, a recent eGift Card Reward was to claim a £250 Argos eGift Card after purchasing specific technology or home appliances.
Shop the clearance: The Argo clearance runs around all year and is the easiest way to shop all of the offers and discounts in one place. It is a great place to snap up a product you might have had your eye on last year, as these will usually have the largest reductions.

What to buy from Argos
Anyone caught up in the frenzy to get their hands on the best air fryers will know that Argos was one of the best places to get the best-performing models which are still in stock at competitive prices. If you do use an Argos discount code we’d recommend putting it towards an Argos Ninja air fryer. One of the best dual zone air fryer’s, the Ninja Max Dual Zone, is available at Argos close to Ninja’s original RRP. But if you are looking for a cheaper model they also usually have amazing deals on the Instant air fryers which we have reviewed and loved, and are often on offer at Argos for under £150. We’ve recently even spotted a 3.8L Instant air fryer on offer for £50.
Alternatively, Argos' heated airers are another good investment with the help of an Argos discount code. Argos stocks its own branded heated airers starting at £55 for a winged clothes airer. Argos also stocks the Minky heated airer which is one of the other best heated airers you can invest in at £60.
How do we source promo codes and deals?
We have an Offers team that sources codes and deals from affiliate networks and from researching the web. The codes are tested to see if they work and then added to the retailer pages, alongside sales, multi-buy deals, friend referral discounts and newsletter sign-up deals. The codes and offers are checked regularly to ensure they’re still live and working, and new deals are added multiple times a week, keeping the offer list fresh.
Alongside this, we have a Commercial team that works with the brands to secure exclusive discount codes. An exclusive code is an offer agreed upon by the brand that is the best in the market, it’s normally a limited-time-only offer so it’s worth snapping up when you see it.
We also have a Copywriting team who update the FAQs, Hints & Tips and Buyers Guides sections with additional information on how you can save money at each retailer, alongside answering other queries you may have.
What if my voucher code doesn’t work?
Although we have eyes on the pages checking the codes and offers are working, sometimes they expire early or the details change suddenly. If you do find a code that doesn’t work or an offer has expired, please feel free to get in contact and let us know at vouchers.idealhome@futurenet.com.
How do we make money?
When you click one of our offer links, a unique identifier is added that lets the retailer know that you’ve come from our Ideal Home discount code page. If you then buy something, we get a commission from the purchase. A commission is a small percentage of the money that you’ve spent on your item(s).

About Argos
When it comes to conveniently shopping for a new TV or furniture on the high street, Argos is the OG. Before online shopping truly kicked off, the Argos catalogue store, launched in 1973, was the easiest way to pick up new furniture, the best BBQ or a new fan instantly. You would fill out a little form with the catalogue number, go to the checkout desk and wait patiently for your order to appear in the stock room. Nowadays a lot has changed, the Argos catalogue might be gone but the convenience of shopping at Argos hasn’t. The home of quality, affordable furniture and a huge range of appliances from the best coffee machine to the best cordless vacuum cleaner is now easy to shop online for home delivery or click and collect from Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
